Chocolate Peanutters

1½ c. sifted flour              ½ tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda            ½ tsp. salt

1 c. firmly-packed brown sugar  1 egg
½ c. cooking oil                1 6-oz. pkg. choc. morsels
1 tsp. vanilla                  1 c. chopped, salted peanuts
¼ c. milk

Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
Combine in large mixing bowl:  brown sugar, cooking oil, and
vanilla; beat until creamy.  Add 1 egg, continue to beat.  Add
flour mixture alternately with ¼ cup milk.  Stir in chocolate
morsels and salted peanuts.  Drop by level tablespoons onto
greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 375* for 10-12 minutes.  Yield
3¼ dozen.

Sour Cream Raisin Bars

2 c. raisins                    3/4 c. water

1 3/4 c. flour                  3 T. cornstarch
1 3/4 c. oatmeal                ½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda                     Pinch nutmeg
1 c. brown sugar                1¼ tsp. cinnamon
1 c. soft oleo                  4 egg yolks, beaten
1½ c. sugar                     2 c. sour cream

Cook raisins and water together for 5 minutes and let cool.  Mix
the crust of oatmeal, flour, soda, brown sugar, and oleo.  Save 1/3
back for topping and pat rest into 10 x 15-inch jellyroll pan.
Bake 10-15 minutes at 350*.  Cook 1½ cups sugar, cornstarch,
salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, egg yolks, and sour cream together until
thick (in a double boiler) or thicken in microwave.  Add the raisins
to this mixture along with 1 teaspoon vanilla.  Spread over crust
and top with reserved topping.  Bake 10-15 minutes at 350*.
