Church Stew

3 lbs boiling beef, cubed   --brown meat, add onion & water.  Cook
2 qts cold water              slowly for 2 hours.
1 small onion
1 tsp salt
2 c tomatoes, canned or fresh
8 carrots, sliced               --Add and cook 1 hour more.
2 c green beans
1 c diced potatoes
½ c chopped celery
