Dutch Apple Cake

1 c milk                              Makes a stiff batter.  Pour
1 c white sugar                       into 9 x 13 inch pan, cover
2 c flour                             top with thin apple slices.
1 egg                                 Sprinkle with cinnamon and
3 tsp baking powder                   sugar.
3 Tbsp melted butter or margarine
dash of salt

Picnic Carmel Cake

2 c flour                            Mix together.  Bake at 325°
2¼ tsp baking powder                 for 35 - 40 minutes.
3/4 tsp salt
1 c sugar
½ c shortening
2/3 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
½ c nuts, finely chopped

Sour Cream Cake

1½ c flour                    Mix together.  Pour into 8x8 inch
1 c sugar                     square pan.  Bake at 325°.
2 heaping Tbsp cocoa
1 c sour cream                Especially good with peanut butter
2 eggs                        frosting.
1 tsp soda
dash of salt

Spanish Cake

2 c brown sugar                 1 tsp soda
½ c butter or margarine         1 tsp cinnamon
1 c sour milk                   ½ tsp nutmeg
1 c raisens                     ¼ tsp cloves
2 eggs                          3 c flour

Mix together and pour into 9 x 13 inch pan.  Bake at 325°.

Sweet Cream Cake

2 eggs      --put into 1 c measuring cup.
sweet cream --add enough to make 1 cup

Add -- 3/4 c white sugar               Bake in two layer cake pans
       1½ c flour                      at 325°.
       2 tsp baking powder
