Anne's Cookies

1 c lard or margarine   --cream together.
2 c brown sugar
3 eggs
¼tsp salt                 -- Add
2 tsp soda
2 tsp cream of tarter
3 ¼ c flour
2 tsp vanilla                            Roll into little balls
                                         and press down with fork.
Stir in -- 2 c ground raisens            Bake at 325°.
           ½ c chopped nuts
